CULTURAL LITERACY PROGRAM AT GWK CULTURAL ATTRACTS PUBLIC ENTHUSIASM

GWK Cultural Park held a Cultural Literacy program to introduce cultural values to children through outdoor learning experiences from January to June 2026. Attended by nearly 3,000 participants, students from 19 public elementary schools and five Child Welfare Institutions (LKSA) were taken on a tour of the GWK Cultural Park area, watched the educational animation "Garuda Cilik," and participated in various activities to foster environmental awareness, such as processing organic waste and repurposing fabric scraps into useful items.

The number of participants this year reflects the high level of interest children have in educational and applicable out-of-class learning activities. This enthusiasm has increased compared to the previous two years, with a total of approximately 2,500 participants across 2024 and 2025. "We are grateful to be able to provide a quality learning space for children through the Cultural Literacy Program. This program is designed to provide tangible benefits, as we believe that early cultural exposure plays a crucial role in fostering understanding and appreciation for cultural heritage, as well as a concern for environmental preservation," said Ch. Rossie Andriani, Director of Operations at GWK Cultural Park.

Public enthusiasm for the Cultural Literacy Program continues to grow, with all visitor quotas fully booked through September 2026.
