CULTIVATING AWARENESS FROM AN EARLY AGE, GWK INVITES HUNDREDS OF KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS TO MOVE TOGETHER IN THE MY MELALI COMMUNITY PROGRAM

Bali, January 30, 2026 — Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park continues to strengthen its cultural literacy-based Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program as a manifestation of its responsibility as an iconic cultural landmark in Bali. The Cultural Literacy CSR program has been running throughout 2025, involving more than 2,000 elementary school students in Badung Regency. Through this program, students were invited to tour the GWK area, watch performances by the Little Garuda Adventurers, and interact directly with artists, including learning to play the angklung as part of cultural preservation efforts for the younger generation. Entering 2026, GWK is expanding its Cultural Literacy CSR program by adding a series of activities from the My Melali Community. One initiative, initiated with a program titled "Green Movement," serves as the opening step for a series of cross-community collaborative activities that will continue to develop going forward.
This program involves GWK collaborating with Magi Farm and Get Plastic as community partners, with the participation of hundreds of kindergarten students in interactive learning activities that foster environmental awareness from an early age. Magi Farm presents educational activities, introducing organic waste processing using maggots, in a fun and practical way, making it easy for children to understand. Niluh Putu Citra Dewi, Magi Farm's Business Development Officer, stated, "The collaboration between GWK and Magi Farm has had a very positive impact, especially with the inclusion of kindergarten participants. We can share knowledge about food waste management with the younger generation." Meanwhile, Get Plastic introduced an innovation that processes plastic waste into alternative fuels to raise awareness of the importance of solution-based waste management. Dimas Bagus Wijanarko, Founder and Chairman of the Get Plastic Foundation, expressed his hope, "Through this collaboration, we want to work together to build tourism and the environment towards a better future and international competitiveness."

"By adding the My Melali Community program to our CSR program, GWK is expanding its role as a collaborative space for tourism, education, and community development to instill cultural values and environmental awareness from an early age," said Ch. Rossie Andriani, Operations Director of GWK Cultural Park. Going forward, My Melali Community will continue to grow and expand beyond its Green Movement platform. "Through My Melali, we want to create a growing collaborative ecosystem. We are happy to welcome communities who want to collaborate and share values, not only in the Green Movement program, but also in various other initiatives going forward," he concluded.
