Bali's GWK Fireworks Festival Celebrates New Year 2024

MEDIA RELEASE The excitement of welcoming the New Year 2023-2024 is back at GWK Cultural Park, titled GWK Bali Countdown Sound of SoulZ 2024, from December 29th to 31st, 2023, at Festival Park and Mandalaloka. A variety of exciting activities are presented, reflecting the energetic and passionate character of youth. This event is not just a concert, but also features Five Elements: a Music Festival, DJ Festival, Dance Show, SOZ Magical Night Market, and Spectacular Fireworks. – MUSIC FESTIVAL, featuring top Indonesian divo artists DEWA 19 Feat. ELLO & VIRZHA, GIGI, Isyana Sarasvati, and others. – DJ FESTIVAL, featuring international and national DJs including DJ JOANA, DJ REMi, DJ Super 8 & Tab, and others. – The DANCE SHOW features Indonesian and ethnic dances by BRAVERY Dancers and LED WINGS Dancers, combined with SPLASH PERCUSSION. SOZ MAGICAL NIGHT MARKET features more than 30 tenants offering a variety of delicious culinary delights, signature beverages, and a wide selection of fashion attire and accessories. SPECTACULAR FIREWORKS presents a fireworks display as the main highlight of the New Year's Eve event, Bali Countdown 2024. This fireworks display is the largest on the island of Bali, showcasing a truly stunning display. For three days, the SOZ Magical Night Market offers a variety of delicious local and national cuisine to tantalize the palate. Visitors can enjoy signature beverages, a wide selection of fashion attire and accessories. Starting on the first day, various exciting activities were offered, including performances by local Balinese bands like The Cat Rolls Band and the White Swan Performance Band, and a special Kecak Dance performance, choreographed specifically for GWK, followed by a performance by the local indie band Sound of Mirrow. Following several performances by local Balinese bands, the evening featured a variety of exciting music from international and national DJs, including DJ Shammui, DJ Ameli Monika, and DJ Iris Stroganova. Themed Ladies Night on the first day, every woman who showed a bracelet received a free beer. A foam party ensued, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. On the second day, visitors continued with a culinary feast. More than 30 tenants joined in to satisfy Gen Z's taste buds while waiting for the end-of-year party to begin. Around 4 p.m., visitors were entertained by local band Cattroll, followed by DJ Lonskii as sunset approached. The GWK Kecak Performance returned at sunset, making the show even more beautiful in the twilight. Afterward, visitors were entertained by exciting international DJs including DJ LTN, DJ Marquee, and DJ Sam Laxton. Approaching 9 p.m., the GIGI band enlivened the atmosphere, and DJ Joana closed the set. Unlike the second day, the third day of the GWK Bali Countdown 2024 Sound of SoulZ was opened by Jegeg Bulan, followed by a contemporary traditional dance performance by the Bravery Dancer Show. Visitors were introduced to the catchy jingle "Sound of SoulZ." Afterward, Isyana Saraswati captivated with a series of signature songs. All attendees were treated to a surprise event with grand prizes of two Kawasaki motorcycles, precious metals, and even a car. Approaching the climax of the event, Dewa 19 thrilled the more than 20,000 visitors to Mandalaloka with a performance of DEWA's signature songs, ranging from remakes to current hits. Five minutes before the New Year, all visitors were invited to sing "Sing Auld Lang Syne" to await the New Year's Eve. At precisely 12:00 AM, the Bali Countdown event culminated in the BIGGEST and MOST MAGNIFICENT fireworks display in Bali, lasting approximately three minutes. Visitors were captivated by the colorful fireworks in various shapes that lit up the Balinese sky. "Bali Countdown 2024 presents a more unique, captivating, and iconic concept. Various festivities are presented, ranging from performances by renowned artists, interactive activities for every visitor, and door prizes.
