Dive into the Beauty and Wonders Stored in Plaza Kura-Kura
As a tourist destination offering Balinese cultural experiences to every visitor, GWK Cultural Park is grounded in the wisdom of sacred and sacred cultural values. Wise stories, legends, and myths are embodied in a variety of sculptures, limestone carvings, and performing arts at GWK Cultural Park.

One such magical tale is hidden in the Kura-Kura Plaza, a small, lush park with a pond adorned with turtle statues, which greets you after climbing the steps adorned with the Naga Anantashesa statue. At the edge of the pond, a statue of Dewi Laksmi , the goddess of prosperity, fertility, and peace, stands gracefully as if to welcome you.
According to Hindu belief, Goddess Lakshmi is the mother of the universe, symbolizing the source of happiness in family life, friendship, marriage, wealth, health, and the blessing of children. Besides being the consort of Lord Vishnu, they together guard and protect the universe. This makes her one of the most revered figures in Hinduism.
Additionally, there's a pond in the center of the Kura-Kura Plaza, where a statue of the Goddess Laksmi rests. This pond is believed to possess yet-to-be-fully revealed magical powers, linked to the eternal spring in Parahyangan Somaka Giri . This belief has led some to try their luck by throwing coins into the pond while making a wish.

The story and wonders of Plaza Kura-Kura don't end there. The statue of Goddess Laksmi in the center of the pond also bears silent witness to the fulfillment of visitors' wishes. In 2022, a visitor from Semarang visited Plaza Kura-Kura. With a heart full of hope, she threw a coin into the pond and offered a fervent prayer, begging to find her true love. After some time, the universe answered her sincere wish. Finally, she will walk down the aisle in early 2024. For the full story, you can watch the video here .
