Tracing the Eternal Destiny of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi: The Heavenly Love Story of the Preserver of the Universe
Symbols of Eternity: Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laksmi at GWK Bali
When discussing the majesty of Lord Vishnu, the Preserver of the Universe, it's impossible to separate him from the figure of Goddess Laksmi. This is also true at GWK Cultural Park. Both are depicted in majestic and graceful sculptures. The statue of Goddess Laksmi stands majestically in the middle of a pond in the Turtle Plaza . The statue of Lord Vishnu is placed alongside Parahyangan Somaka Giri , a place of worship with an eternal spring.
The Puranas describe Lord Vishnu as one of the three main deities, or Tri Murti . Vishnu plays a primary role as the preserver and protector of the universe. His presence creates harmony throughout the universe. Meanwhile, Goddess Lakshmi is referred to as the mother of the universe. She is revered as the goddess of prosperity and good fortune. Her grace brings brilliance and abundant life to all aspects.

Goddess Lakshmi is closely related to Lord Vishnu. She is his shakti , or celestial consort. Together, they navigate the boundless universe of space and time. With her grace and wisdom, Goddess Lakshmi not only stands beside Lord Vishnu but also participates in every step and effort to safeguard and protect the universe.
The story of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu is not intertwined within a single lifetime. In each incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi accompanies him as his faithful shakti . For example, when Lord Vishnu takes the form of Rama in the Ramayana, Goddess Lakshmi accompanies him as Sita, accompanying him through every adventure and trial of life. Similarly, in Lord Vishnu's presence as Krishna, Goddess Lakshmi incarnates as Radha.
In the Ramayana, the two are depicted together in the figures of Rama and Sita. Initially, Rama was banished to the forest by his father due to pressure from his stepmother. Sita faithfully accompanied him as his wife, navigating a life full of twists and turns in the forest.
The story of the goddesses Vishnu and Laksmi is often woven with separation. However, as an eternal heavenly couple, an invisible thread always connects them, leading them to meet again, whether in the same form or in a new life. Their timeless story serves as an inspiration for the eternity of love and a deep connection amidst the unpredictable twists and turns of life and the universe.
